Our Field Ranger Training Programme is aimed at field staff already working on nature reserves. The programme is based on experience gained in the South African National Parks and other wildlife organisations since 1993. The team consists of Johan Fourie with more than 18 years experience with National Parks and Trevor Dearlove (SANP researcher, Field Guide and Ranger for 25 years), Kobus Lubbe, Danie Lourens, John Baker, Steve Bolnick and Marius Brand.
We present the NQF 2 National Certificate in Conservation Guardianship in two phases:
- Phase 1 Training (one week) plus at least 3 months practical workplace experience
- Phase 2 Training (one week) plus at least 3 months practical workplace experience
Learners are assessed by means of assignments, practical reports, interviews and final written exam. Learners therefore have to be employed by an organisation capable of providing practical workplace training and experience.
This programme is aimed at qualifying the learner for the CATHSSETA National Certificate in Conservation Guardianship 59389. Find out more about the content and the process by contacting us.
